A question about leather tags

Crocheters of Reddit I need your help! I'm looking to buy my wife some custom leather tags for her birthday - she's started selling a few of her items and mentioned she'd like to add tags to her projects.
I've found a place that does them so I have a quick question....
Is it better (easier for putting onto, for example, a blanket) to get the tags with holes already put in them or the ones that have a stitching pattern around the border?
