Has anyone else made the Taylor Lynn Boho Beaded Pocket Scarf?

I’m working on it now, and I just started the “diamond trellis.” It’s a front post double crochet 2 together.
She has videos on her YouTube to explain, but they haven’t been helpful.
I have watched a few other tutorials, but what’s confusing to me is that in this pattern, I’m supposed to join together every 3rd double crochet from the previous row, and then single stitch 3, then repeat.
I can’t figure out where to single stitch behind the “V” shapes I’m creating. I don’t even know if I’m dropping the right amount of stitches.
Does anyone have any insight, or can anyone write out plainly how I’m supposed to do this?? I’m making the scarf as a gift!
I also want to say that I paid for the pattern, and I don’t want to disrespect the creator by posting parts of it. (I’m not sure how that works and don’t wanna be a B-hole lol).
