How to crochet for longer periods of time? I think my ergonomics are off, quickly aching in non-hook arm.

I picked up crochet last year and fell in love with it! Made a little ear warmer, a headband and a hat. Then I got started on a jumper and began to feel this weird sensastion in my upper arm around my elbow in my non-hook hand, not pain exactly but like a dull ache.

I knew I shouldn't push it so I unwillingly put down my project for two months and regularly did stretches until the pain disappeared. I bought a compression sleeve for my elbow and my bf got me some tension rings so I wasn't straining that hand as much.

I want to work on my projects for a few hours a day but I have a strange amount of tension in the whole of my non-hook arm when I start and I have to stop after 30 minutes or so if I don't want to push it! It's quite frustrating. I just want to watch movies and crochet the whole time haha

My question is: what is the ideal position to crochet? Where should my hands and elbows be for the most longevity? Any tips? (I will get to a doctor if the issue persists or gets worse!)

Whats mad is that my hook hand/arm has absolutely no issue, I've never even felt so much as an ache so I don't know what I'm doing wrong on the other side. 🀷‍♀️
