Hook color (Susan Bates) bleeding onto my fingers!

Hey hookers,
I’ve recently bought a set of Susan Bates Silvalume hooks because I’m in love with the in-line hook shape and I’m not sure which sizes I want to get in a more ergonomic shape. I haven’t had any issues with the other hooks but I just started a project with my 5mm and after a few rows I noticed the blue color of the hook is bleeding onto my hands! I’m worried that it will stain my project. I just scrubbed it in the sink and the color looks lighter now but I’m hesitant to keep using it. Unfortunately I don’t have another 5mm and don’t particularly want to buy another one just yet because I’m happy with the shape of the hook.
Has anyone else experienced this problem or did I just get a dud hook? Did the problem persist or were you able to wash the excess color off? If it stained your fabric, were you able to wash it out? Has anyone experienced this with other brands?
