I want to crochet some hats or blankets to donate, probably NICU size. I've got a ton of red heart super saver and I want to use it up, but it's super scratchy. I've heard it gets softer after you wash it, but a lot of recommended yarn lists say to not use that brand specially. does anyone have any experience using red heart super saver for anything? does it really get soft enough to donate or should i just use it to make something else?
