Do you sell your works?

I was thinking of opening an Etsy and selling some small things. I could really use it right now, but I’m not sure if it would be worth it.
Do you actually make any profit off your crochet projects if you sell them? Or would the cost be too high? (For example trying to sell a blanket for cost of yarn + minimum wage would make it extremely expensive and I’m not sure anyone would bother paying for that when it could be half the price in a chain store).
