Mitten help
IFTTT newest submissions : crochet
So for Christmas I am making a pair of mittens for my mother. I am a guy, so I can't use my hands as reference, and the yarn I'm using is quite thin, I can't find a pattern that uses a 3.25mm hook. I've found a few sizing charts so I know I'm going to make the circumference before the thumb 7 inches, and the length about 7in aswell. The one thing I'm struggling with is how far down to put the thumb hole. If anyone could give me a ball park of how far to work down before I add the thumb hole id greatly appreciate it.
