I’m working a pattern (amigurumi leg) and I have 12 stitches in the round. My next round says to “dc in each of next 6 sts, sc in each of next 6 sts”.

I have no idea how to start the double crochet and then once I do that, how do I go back down to the single crochets? If there are links to videos for this, that would be great!
