Recommended needle size different from hook size?
IFTTT newest submissions : crochet
I ordered some yarn online and the website said the recommended needle size was 2.5 - 3.5mm, so I ordered a 3mm hook with it.
When it came in, the recommended knitting needle size is still 2.5-3.5mm, but for crochet hook it's 3.5-4mm. Why are they so different, is that normal? And why couldn't the website tell me the hook size too so I could order the right one !?
Rant over. I'll try with the hook I have, but I was really annoyed when I found out.
