DTR in front of DC?
IFTTT newest submissions : crochetCurrently working on my first sweater! (Yay!) and it was going well until I came across this instruction that makes no sense to me.
It says:
Ch 3 *sk next SC, DC in next 3 SC, DTR in front of DC sts in skipped SC inserting hook from back to front; rep from * across to last SC, DC in last SC, turn.
The part that makes no sense to me is the DTR in front of DC sts...inserting hook from back to front. Logically, inserting from back to front hasn’t worked in the ways I’ve tried but I’m sure there is a trick to it! I do know how to double treble crochet and double crochet so that’s not the part holding me up. Just the mechanism of having the stitch in front of the other by inserting back to front.
For reference I’m also linking the pattern (which is a free pattern), I am stuck on the center panel section. I’ve searched for a while but can’t figure out how to do this part! I’m tempted to skip it but it makes a really pretty texture in the work.
TIA for your help!
