Any ideas for crocheting wrinkles?

Oh lord first time posting on this site :”) but I’ve been working on a design for a crocheted sphynx cat again recently, and I’m just curious if anyone has solutions to crocheting wrinkles effectively. In my first iteration I worked with stitches in the inside loop only, which did give a nice ribbled effect, but really doesn’t have the kind of deep wrinkle I’m looking for. As of right now, I’m trying to work on a slightly larger scale but any ideas for how much to scale the circumference + length up to get the proper effect if I’m going to sew the wrinkles in afterwards? Or are there any stitches out there that have a better effect?
I have photos of the first iteration lol but I do not know how to post pics here. + I recognize if this is a totally nonsense question, I overthink a LOT and put WAY too much detail into simple works :”D
