Annual self doubt over homemade gifts

Annual self doubt over homemade gifts

Does anyone else suffer this?!

I just finished up the first of three match pairs of crochet Baby Yoda themed hats and fingerless gloves for my niece and nephews. The hat and gloves are adorable and I have spent hours making these matching sets because the kids, ages 8-14, are obsessed with the Mandalorian. The problem I’m having is the annual self doubt in giving homemade gifts. My husband and teen son both think the sets are perfect as is, but I’m having self doubt over sending homemade gifts. Whenever we make homemade gifts we put weeks of thought and effort into the gift. However, my immediate family is not crafty and leans toward gifting pricey gift cards, well above my spending budget, so I always feel my gifts are the equivalent of unwanted and unappreciated fruitcake.

If you suffer this, how do you deal with the self doubt?
