Making a blanket longer from the foundation chain?

Making a blanket longer from the foundation chain?

Hey guys! I'm making my mans a blanket, but it didn't turn out quite as long as I wanted it to. Normally I would just add more to the top, but the pattern goes blue, dark blue, gray, black (double the rows) and then gray, dark blue, blue. So to make it longer, I would have to add to the top but also from the bottom, so that the pattern is maintained. Can I work into the foundation chain from the underside and essentially work backwards or would it mess everything up in a way I'm not seeing? Thanks!

Can someone please break down how to β€œIncrease” for me?

Can someone please break down how to “Increase” for me?

Hi guys! I am a super beginner in crocheting and I had a question about a fairly new technique called ”Increase.” I understand that it is basically increasing the amount of stitches you do in one ”loop.” But my question is once you do this, are you supposed to continue doing that as you move along the row, or is this something that you do each time you approach a new row?

For example: I have been single crocheting for 6 stitches straight and it’s time to start a new row with an increase of 2 SC’s in the first stitch. Do I continue putting 2 SC stitches in every loop in that row or do I just go back to single crocheting in every loop in that row?

I have watched a bunch of YouTube videos, and I still cannot find any clarity!! Anyone who can answer in SUPER SIMPLE terms would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

Shared interests, I suppose!

Shared interests, I suppose!

My husband loves to watch the UFC fights, and tonight I was sitting in bed looking for my next crochet project (of course). He runs in super excited to tell me one of the fighters ring names is “The Crochet Boss” lol!

It must be that he really gets his opponents with his... hooks.
