How do I start crocheting?

For the past month I have been really interested in crocheting. All the lovely posts here has inspired me to start! I am a bit confused and I need some help All responses are appreciated!
1)What are some basic stitches I should know?
2)What do I need to buy? Anything which isn't necessary but will help still?
3)Any good yt tutorials which are helpful and easy to follow?
4)What do I make first as practice?
5)Any General Tips?
