It says ch2. Hdc dc in first st. Dc hdc in next.

Watching videos on hdc and dc, they say to go over 3 spots from the hook for an hdc, and 4 spots for a dc.

I believe I'm doing this correctly but I'm not getting anything similar to the photos.

I'm curious if the order hdc dc is causing me to miscount.

Could anyone explain this in a sentence or two?
