Opinions on the Waffle Stitch blanket for babys.

Hello Everyone,
Im currently crocheting and loving a cute waffle stitch blanket for my friends new born. This is my first time using the waffle stitch as im still in beginner stages of crocheting and it is turning out really well! (Its my 3rd attempt at this blanket, 2 different stitch type and colors/yarn later lol) at least 25 hrs in all together with all the frogging 🙊 My only concern with the waffle stitch is if it is good for babys, i love the stitch and the yarn is soft baby yarn but because the waffles are a tad tough im wondering now if its a good choice for babys. So im just wondering what everyone elses experience is with this blanket when its finished, feedback etc :) Sorry for the essay!!
