My self-drafted pattern is very similar to someone else's. Is it ok to sell my own?

Ok, I've recently hit a bit of a moral conundrum. I wanted to make an Easter Egg bunny but couldn't find one in the size I wanted, so I made my own. (literally an Easter egg with bunny ears) It is super cute and was really fun to make, and was my first time ever making my own pattern. It turned out amazing and I'm considering putting my pattern up on etsy or ravelry or somewhere to sell. I also did the same with a granny square. I wanted a coloured circle with a white square around it, for a baby blanket.

My problem came when I shared my patterns with a few people who also crochet. I was excited and wanted to share my first successful patterns. One of them immediately accused me of stealing part of a pattern for an Easter bunny amigurumi made by another person, altering it, and passing it off as my own. And then pointed out my granny square was exactly the same as another granny square pattern out there, just bigger. I looked at the patterns I was accused of copying (I had to buy it to look at it, but it's a cute bunny so I'm happy!) and my egg bunny is almost identical to the body section of the Easter bunny amigurumi. It really is just an egg shape, it's not like there is a whole lot of ways to get that exact shape, and that's all that is similar. Everything else is completely different. My granny square is actually exactly the same just a bit bigger, but again it's not like there are a lot of ways to make that type of granny square, and I have no interest in selling that one. It's a granny square, it's nothing special. But now I'm worried about stepping on other people's patterns or being seen as a copycat. I intend to try making more seasonal stuff and selling the patterns, but if they are similar to others....

Is it ok to sell my own patterns when they are so close to ones made by other people? I don't want to do something wrong and it bothers me that people might think that I copied a pattern when I didn't even know these patterns existed before my friend told me, and have been working hard at making my own unique creations.
