How much do you charge for your pieces?

My tattoo artist today told me she wants to start trading for pieces I make her. We've already been trading massage for tattoo time for time. I'd massage her for 2 hours she would tattoo me for 2 hours. But now we're gonna trade for knitted or crocheted clothing and I was wondering do you calculate per hour you spent? Do you include cost of yarn and pattern? Any help would be great. Thank you!
