So I'm Christmas shopping for my fiance an I had the great idea of buying her a subscription to a good quality crochet yarn club that will send monthly yarn and other crochet items. If anyone has a idea where to look or a service they use and love please tell me. Thank you all for reading this and taking the time to reply

Hey guys! I was recently working on a project to give to my mom, and I wanted to add a little touch of crochet, so I picked up my first crochet hook and some yarn. I honestly didn’t think I’d like it (my mom tried to teach me when I was younger but I couldn’t get the hang of it), but I was surprised when I totally fell in love. I haven’t completed a full project yet, but I want to. Do you guys have any tips for a beginner?

Example:
I'm sitting here making a little amigurumi and I have to repeat the same row 15 times.. So my brain is like, "Now I'm on row 6. Now I'm on row 6. pause to think about some random thing. Resume repetition. Now I'm on row 6."

I haven't crochet'd in awhile, and the stars aligned and I decided to pick up something to do.
I landed on this cutie: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/amigurumi-deer-3
For the head portion it goes:
INCR every st (12sts)
INCR every 2d st (18sts)
INCR every 3d st (24sts)
INCR every 4d st (30sts)
INCR every 5d st (36sts)
INCR every 6d st (42sts)
SC for 6 rounds (42sts)
SC for 4 rounds (42sts)
DEC every 6th and 7th together (36sts)
SC around (36sts)
DEC every 5th and 6th together (30sts)....
For Row 8 - I at first took it to say keep crocheting without increasing or decreasing for 6 rounds. But then, row 9 says to do it again for 4 rounds....? 10 rounds seems a bit much, so.... what is your take on it?

I have a ton of worsted weight wool from a scrapped temperature blanket. (I decided that 2020 did not deserve to be immortalized). Its Knit Picks Wool of the Andes. I'd love to reuse some for a shawl, but most of the patterns I've run across call for a lighter fiber.
I'd rather not have something super complex, but something that looks nicer than just a plain granny square? I've been crocheting for a long time, but I just don't enjoy super complex patterns. I would appreciate any help or suggestions that anyone could offer!

I finished and everything, but my mom lives in another state. And it's a pretty thick string and I'm not sure how i should package it to ship. Could anyone help or give suggestions? I'm not even sure it'll fit in a vacuum seal bag

Hi, I need ideas pleaseee on baby items to do with one and a half balls of size 10 crochet thread . And that is not blankets (I have enough) or clothes for the body or sockets/shoes, I would like something that gets more use and doesnt outgrow the baby so fast, all I can think is a baby bonnet and amigurumi type of toys.
Thank you in advance!

Hi! I’m making a scarf for my cousins for Christmas, and I like the way it looks normally, but I thought it could be cool to put each college’s logo onto the scarf. What’s the best way to put something like a patch onto crochet? Thank you!
Maybe it's a tool or a skill, but how did you go from beginner to advanced? What do you think has elevated your projects?
So I completed the spiderdream top by Daniele. I had loads of fun making it and it turned out exactly like it was meant too, it looks great hanging up and when looking at the details. However....it looks awful on. I have tried it on 3 different body types in my household and it still looks awful. It looks like a child costume. I though maybe it was the colours (mint fading into light blue and then dark blue) but those colours typically suit me and my sister. Its like seeing a stunnjng dress on a hanger in the store and loving it there but the minute you try it on at home it looks awful all of a sudden. I had fun making this and was really excited to wear it and I had been trying it on throughout where it did look like it would turn out cute and but now its so disappointing. Has this happened to anyone else ? I gave it to my mother in the end cause she will wear anythings and i didnt want to unravel it(i love her but she dresses like a bag lady) but my god I hope she doesn't tell anyone I made it.
Hi guys! I bought this kit for £1 and thought I’ll have a go. Now, I’ve done the first step which was
“Starting with white yarn, make ch 50. Row 1: Sc in 2nd Ch from hook (Sk next 2 chains and work 5 add in next, Sk next 2 chains and work 1 Sc in next). Repeat for a total of eight clusters. End with Sc in last stitch.”
The second step is
“Row 2: Turn work and Ch 3 (this counts as first Dc), work 2 more Dc in 1st stitch. (Sk next 2 chains, Sc in next top, middle of cluster from Row 1, Sk next 2 chains, 5 Dc in next.) repeat across. End with 3 Dc in last Sc, Ch 1, turn. You should now have seven clusters”
Where are the next 2 chains I’m meant to Sk? I’ve turned it over and chained 3, and worked 2 dc into the 1st stitch. But now I’m lost and confused. Please help me!

Hi, I made a bathroom puff (the 400 stitch one, thankfully I wasn't crazy enough to do the big one), but for some reason it... kinda didn't work. The soap didn't lather and all I was left with was a bunch of soggy cotton. Now, I don't want to imply that the pattern is at fault (after all I was not using the same yarn, just the same weight), but I would like to know if any of you could recommend a good pattern that will work with either Yarnart Creative or yarn with weight of 2.
Thanks in advance!

I’m working a pattern (amigurumi leg) and I have 12 stitches in the round. My next round says to “dc in each of next 6 sts, sc in each of next 6 sts”.
I have no idea how to start the double crochet and then once I do that, how do I go back down to the single crochets? If there are links to videos for this, that would be great!
