How many times have you gotten started on a project you were really looking forward to but lose motivation during and decide you need to frog it and do it differently so you don't lose your love of this project you were so looking forward to?

I was really excited to make a textured blankie for myself (I'm autistic so texture is love) and spent my birthday money back in April on it... I was so excited and had this amazing idea of what it would be like but the effort it is causing and the fact that I can't get it perfect was really upsetting me so I stopped..

Now I think I should frog it and make a more basic blankie instead so I don't kill myself over something that will never be as perfect as I imagine it... it's the first time I've been so excited to make something for myself though so I'm not suee if I should just persevere and risk hating it by the end...

So I wondered how many times you all have gone through this! I've only been crocheting for a year and a half and I normally do small projects like amigurumi...
