Has anyone tried the tube cotton jumbo yarn from Ice Yarn?

I really love the look of Hope Macaulay’s colossal knit sweaters but I’ve seen posts about roving yarn and why not to use it but I really want to try to recreate it using a waistcoat stitch.
I saw this jumbo yarn on Ice Yarns but noticed in the yarn thickness it says “roving” but I was under the impression that tube yarns don’t fall apart like roved wool does? The ice yarn is 40% cotton / 60% polyamide.
Can anyone confirm it’s actually tubed yarn?
