What do you like/look for/appreciate in crochet videos?
IFTTT newest submissions : crochetHello all!
I usually post in here under another name, but have recently been supported by my husband to start a YouTube channel and am wanting to get some insight from you.
I plan on making a variety of videos of things I do around the house (I'm a big diy-er, and do a lot of food-stuff-things), and with my crafting. I just learned to crochet a couple years ago, but it turns out I have a knack for it, and almost every wearable item I've made I've modified from a pattern, or created myself, learning everything I needed to along the way. In my crochet videos, I'd be focusing on the lesser-known techniques/tips that I've found or figured out for myself through trial and error that don't seem to be well documented in video format (that I've found), as well as showing my works and how to take an existing pattern and modify it (for example, I made a poncho for my MIL, and the original pattern was a doily, and I calculated and figured out how to make it a poncho).
What I'd like to ask all of you is: What do you like or appreciate seeing in a crochet video? Do you like seeing the person's face once in a while? Do you like voice overs, or voiced as you go?
What bugs you when you see it? What things, when you see/hear them in a video makes you go "ugh, why???"?
Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions for me. I know what I like, but it helps to know what others like too.
