Hello all!

I’m making this sweater:

And I’m stuck. When you get to the the sleeves, it says ‘do not turn’. How do I not turn? I looked up crocheting backward but it looked like it was only for single crochet. I’ve done a ton of googling.

I feel like I’m missing something. Is it because I’m chaining the sleeve part and the pattern wants me to just do DC through the sleeve chain?

I am so stuck! I have a whole evening to work on this and no idea how to start! Help!
