Suggestions of yarns for different projects?
IFTTT newest submissions : crochet
So, I'm very new to crochet! I started it last year with the intention of trying my hand with amigurumi. Initially, since I only wanted to make toys, I just went to the store and -overwhelmed by the amount of brands and weights and materials- bought from the Amigurimi brand (thought it was the safest bet).
So now that I'm getting into it, I want to make new things, but I still have no ideas what kinds of yarn are best for what kind of projects? I wanted to try making wearables (like cardigans, winter hats, gloves, bags) and maybe blankets at some point as well. I was wondering if anyone could give me some suggestions on brands or maybe some light on how to pick a yarn for a specific project? Like, what to take into consideration and everything.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated :)
(Edit. Other suggestions for projects that aren't amigurumi, but would look good with the Amigurimi yarn brand would also be very helpful, since I have a lot of yarns of that type in my stash)
