Help! Need to find a blanket design!

I’m having a bit of a dillema at the moment. I’ve ordered some yarn to make a blanket for my sister for my birthday. It should arrive tomorrow, and I have no idea of what design I want to use. The yarn is very similar to the Lion Brand Ice Cream yarn in the Cookies and Cream colour.
The blanket needs to be big enough to fit an Australian queen size bed, and the design needs to be simple enough that I can get it finished by the beginning of May, but interesting enough to offset my boredom from working with a variegated black/grey/white yarn.
Does anyone have any suggestions of stitches to use or patterns?
