Wrong/right side for amigurumi

What’s the general feelings about which side is shown for amigurumi?
I just learn that technically all my ami have been wrong side out and it’s somewhat bothering me. I honestly shouldn’t let it though- that’ll happen when you’re self taught and not one single book says “turn work inside out”.
I’ve shared quite a few of my works with others and none of them commented either, so I don’t know if they just didn’t want to say anything or wasn’t aware it’s the “wrong” way.
Oh well. All I know is that doing it the wrong way has taught me how to change stitches around so it works for what I’m doing lol.
