Help with yarn size for the pattern
IFTTT newest submissions : crochet
As much as I am trying to stick with my existing projects, I can't help but go down a YT rabbit hole for new patterns. I found this one by Chenda DIY which calls for a 4.5 crochet hook, using a '4 ply yarn' which the listing recommends a 4mm crochet hook for.
I want to purchase the yarn from Hobbii, which is the 4 ply but it specifies a 2.5 - 3.5 crochet hook. My question is should I match the recommended hook size of the yarn to the yarn that they use (in this case use a 6 or 8 ply Hobbii yarn etc) or just follow the ply number of the yarn which the pattern she uses.
