A long color changing yarn that isn't cotton. Something like Scheepjes Whirl or Hobbii Twirl but ya know, without the cotton.

Plainly, I just don't like cotton. But I can't seem to find anything that has the wonderfully long and subtle color change that doesn't have cotton. The wooly whirl even has cotton. The fine art whirl is the only similar yarn I have found and it is even more expensive than the regular whirl and I just can't justify spending $40 on a single cake.
I've seen recommendations for red heart unforgettable and while I do like that yarn, it just isn't as slow of a change. Others, like Caron Cakes, are sudden color changes, so to clarify - I'm not looking for striping yarn. RH Its a Wrap is a similar fiber content to Whirl and Twister with the cotton. Same with Hobby Lobby's Wrapsody.
I dont mind if the yarn is a different style (plied, roving, etc) or weight, I just want to wonderful slow transition without the cotton and not breaking the bank.
Am I SOL or do you wonderful people have recommendations?
