Yarn recs for wedding gift-blanket

I saw a post here (I can't find the post!) where someone had family members make squares for a blanket and then put them together as a wedding gift, and I'm going to do the same thing! I'm trying to figure out which yarn to choose so everyone can get the same thing. The wedding colors will be deep orange and royal blue, so I'm looking for something close to this and I will use white/cream to put them together. Looking for something softer and easy to find (available at a national chain). Thanks!
