New to crochet!

Hi all, I was just wondering what supplies you would recommend for someone who wants to get into crochet? I’ve been researching but all this information is a bit overwhelming, I’ve seen kits online but they seem like overkill with like a billion different hooks and such. Any advice appreciated :)
