Learn-to-crochet kits for kids?

I'm looking for a learning kit for a ten year old for Christmas. She is very crafty/artsy in general but not much experience with yarn specifically. She is fascinated by amigurumi, so I was thinking something like the Woobles would be good - especially with the pre-started project and the video tutorials. I thought the videos were good for adults but I'm not sure if they translate for the kiddos.
Does anyone have any experience with kids around that age learning from the Woobles? Or other recommendations for good learning kits for kids (preferably with video tutorials)?
