How to make a flat circle?

Ive been trying to make something similar to a coaster. But i cant find any way to crochet my magic circle into a circle type shape, my friend was trying to as well. We just couldn’t find a way to, appreciate any advice, thanks :)
Edit: thanks to a kind Redditor letting me know, what i meant to say was a flat circle.
