How do you time manage your projects?

I am a newer crocheter and I am working on a C2C Afghan for my mom, and I am getting around the point of super long middle of the project rows that are taking me at least 20 minutes to do one row. I really want to finish it by Christmas for nerf but the decrease doesn’t start for another 40 rows. How do you manage your project and figure out how much time you need to put in to it each day?
