Bernat blanket yarn is a pet hair sponge - what can I do?

I picked up some Bernat blanket yarn to make a blanket and it seems that it is picking up every cat and dog hair that has ever been shed in my apartment and it’s really bumming me out. I just frogged the project I was working on. Not sure if there is anything I can do to make this a workable situation. Seems like even if I made the blanket it would get disgusting immediately when one of my pets lays on it.
Any advice or alternate yarn suggestions are appreciated.
