Anyone else have issues with patience?

It seems like i rush myself too much and don’t really enjoy the process as much as the product. I want to get it done in a certain window of time and think about getting through another set of colors rather than chilling after work and destressing. Anyone else like this? Any tips?

is it okay to wash hands after crocheting for like 5 hours?

I've recently been into crochet lately. I just started, I'm so slow and it takes me hours a day to crochet. After crocheting I cook and I wash hands before cooking (ofc), then wash the dishes. Is it okay to do that after crocheting for too long?

How to price and ask for payment from friends?

How to price and ask for payment from friends?

A couple of my friends have asked me to crochet pieces for them and although I would love to make things for them for free, it's time and money and I want to be compensated for it. Do you give your friends "friend discounts" and how do you go about asking for the payment?

Hobbii Lucky Blind Bags Worth It?

Hobbii Lucky Blind Bags Worth It?

I've had my eye on the lucky bags for almost the last week... I've been wanting to get some of them, but the price tag scares me a little. I'm very noncommittal about what projects I make, so a blind bag that just picks some interesting yarn for me sounds right up my alley! Does anyone have experience with the cotton/acrylic/cake lucky bags? Are they worth the price tag?

I'm working on the mitten part in round 11. I cannot for the life of me understand what they're wanting me to do, and the diagram makes me even more confused. Can anyone shine some light on this?

Blocking/starching crochet flowers

Blocking/starching crochet flowers

I'm making my bouquet for my wedding in two weeks. I amusing a combination of acrylic and cotton yarns to make tea roses and trumpet vine flowers. I'm crocheting the flowers and then attaching them to floral wires with floral tape. The thing is, though, that my trumpet vines are a little floppy and in need of blocking. Should I just get them wet? Is there something I can use to starch them a little? Hairspray, Elmer's glue and water, commercial starch? Yes, I waited until the last minute to figure out how to finish this project, but that's just my move. I seem to be most productive with a little pressure from a looming deadline. Any input?

I had a meltdown today. I felt it coming for a week, the reason doesn't matter but afterwards, I decided to start a sweater. I hope to have it done by the time it's cool enough to wear. Crochet is really nice for post meltdown fog, especially big, repetitive pieces that don't require too much focus.

New to Crochet!

New to Crochet!

Hi guys! I'm starting to get into Crochet and it's been pretty cool so far. Other than the fact that I've spent 2 days trying to get down the normal chain and single as well as double crochet and that's all i've gotten to so far...

Trying to pick up this hobby whilst I can during the 2 week holiday and hopefully I can make a cool little animal or something to gift to my grandma who used to knit.

If anyone has tips and some motivation I'd highly appreciate it LOADSS!! Or even some pictures of their own designs. I've seen some on the reddit page and it looks phenominal and gets me even more excited. I sat down for nearly 6 hours straight crocheting and my fingertips have gone kind of tingly... pretty sure it's a bad sign, considering I'm also a frequent gamer who spends too much time doing wasting my life on a pixelated screen. If anyone also has that, please let me know! Perhaps I'm just over-thinking and DEFINITELY overworked my hands....

Thanks! : ) Any tips and tricks will do, even in terms of holding the crochet properly.
