Thoughts/advice on using different yarn types in one project
IFTTT newest submissions : crochetThe title pretty much says it all but I’ll add a touch more detail. My mom’s adopted brother just welcomed his first granddaughter and I’d like to make a baby blanket for her. My mom posed the idea to me with a beachy/seaside theme as they live in a coastal town.
For the body of the blanket, she asked for the creamsicle shade of this yarn. For the boarder she asked for the creamsicle shade accompanied with light teal and white. However, she didn’t like the color options in the pound of love for the teal. Would it be ok to use a different type of yarn (same weight) for the white and teal or would it mess up the project (texture and feel wise)?
Complete side note: any suggestions on coraly/peachy colored ombrรฉ yarn? We looked for over an hour for something that fits the tone of the pound of love shade but had no luck. That’s what she originally wanted but I talked her into a solid color after we couldn’t find one.
