Pattern Help: Mother of Dragons Dice Bag/Crocodile Stitch
IFTTT newest submissions : crochet
Hi folks! I've just started a Mother of Dragons Dice Bag and it's my first time working the crocodile stitch, and since I know this is a fairly common pattern I'm hoping somebody can give me a pointer here. The pattern calls for 5dc down the first post, ch2, 5dc up the next post to make the scales but the ch2 is creating a big ol' hole at the point of the scale (see photo). I don't like the way this looks, but since I've never made this bag or worked with this stitch before, I don't know if it's going to self-correct as I continue working or if I'm doing something wonky or what. I can see in the photos of the finished item where the ch2 is, but it doesn't look nearly as big and gapey as mine does. I like the way it looks with no ch between the 2 sets of 5dc better. I'd like to make a decision one way or the other before I get too far along and have to frog it and start over. Anybody who's made this bag or worked with the croc stitch before have an opinion on it? [link] [comments] |
