Recently I have been looking for a free pattern for a anthro plush. It needs to be with only one color. Does anyone have or know of a pattern like that?

I'm working on a huge (for me) blanket, squares made by decomposing Caron Big Cakes into individual colors and using them throughout. Unfortunately, there aren't the same amounts of each color!
I'm doing ok for the most part but the black in the Cookie Crumble has run out and I've got tons of white left.
I'd love to find a black Caron yarn I can use to mix in without having a color mismatch, but I can't really get to a store with our covid fun these days.
Any creative ideas or suggestions?
Thanks in advance!!!
Terrible lighting, but here's a teaser of some of the squares.

I started a Vanna White sampler pattern probably like 8 years ago. I found the pattern for free online and never saved or printed it apparently. I believe it was about 20 blocks and i have some of the blocks worked. It looks like a block of shells, one of bobbles or popcorn, one alternates double rows and single rows, and another has some kind of crisscross stitch I do not recognize. Does anyone know where i can find this pattern so I can fonish this blanket?

I have been crocheting for years, and i still cannot for the life of me figure out how to solve this issue.
Particularly clothing, or things like bags, stretch out and deform so quickly, and I can't understand how to prevent this issue.
I've used all sorts of hook sizes, yarn types, and although some combos stretch more than others, I don't understand how to solve my problem, or why I seldom hear about it from others.

So. My exhusband's mother is amazing. She has always appreciated my crochet and knitting. She's never asked me to make her anything but she's at the top of the list now! (Already made her daughter's, grandsons, mother, grandmother, and mother in law blankets.. her time!)
But now I can't decide what to make! She has never make any comments that make me think she has a preference on patterns. I don't want to ask her directly.
I have 3 colours of stylecraft special dk, 17 balls in total.
What do I make?!

Some background for me personally: I'm still in my teens, and I've been crocheting since I was about 5. I've been debating getting ergonomic hooks mostly because they're pretty, but I need to justify the expense. I rarely get any hand pain with my normal hooks, although I will get elbow and shoulder pain if I crochet for a few hours on end. I have one ergonomic hook I bought at Walmart, which I love, but I can't tell if it's actually a king a difference. Will using ergonomic hooks actually benefit me or help me avoid arthritis or the like in the long run?

I am curious how and when people began crocheting.
My aunt taught me around 13. She only ever taught me how to do a simple granny square and let me have her scrap yarn. I ended up with the biggest ugliest granny square I've ever seen.
When she taught me she would periodically check my work and if she found a mistake she would frog all the way to the mistake and make me redo it. I remember being so mad at the time, but am thankful now because it has helped me take pride in my work.
I dont finish a project often, but when I do I share a photo with her and thank her again for teaching me.
How about you?

I have a project in mind that I'd like to use wool yarn for. I don't have much experience with wool yarn, so I'd like to ask you guys to list what brands of wool yarn you've used and loved.

I am crocheting a monster for my sister and it will have fake human teeth. I was going to drill tiny holes into the teeth and sew them in, but even a dremel broke them. So, now I am going to glue them. What glue do you all recommend? It needs to be strong and clear.
This is the inside of the mouth and it will be lined with these fake teeth.

I've lost my only 6.5 mm hook! I don't have a car atm so there's no way for my to go buy one. I do have a 6mm hook. Would it be that much of a difference?? Should I just unravel what I've done and start over??

I want to make a simple sweater. I’ve never made one. What is the best & softest yarn to buy? I need help!
I downloaded a pattern off of Ravelry.com (pandemic cal by Lindsay George) and the materials list goes: “Supplies: 4.5mm hook Weight 3 yarn - 2,360 yards 4 Lion Brand Mandala cakes 2 colorways (two of each)”
What does the bottom row mean? Colorway? I’m picking up yarn in the morning and need to know.

I took up crocheting as my covid hobby and I love it so much! This is my first amigurumi (from Odinka Wisanindhi's tutorial here. ) He's super crooked, but still cute! He's going to live with my 2 year old niece and she is very excited. :) [link] [comments] |
