Hi,

beginner here asking for an advice again. I have a piece done in single crochet to which I’d like to add on diagonally, also in single crochet. How do I do that while keeping the same length? I have tried various raised single crochet stitches, normal single crochet, adding a chain, not adding a chain, and somehow the add on always either elongated or shortened the work. How can I do this so that the length stays the same?
