Plastic Yarn Leftovers?

I’ve decided that I want to crochet a reusable grocery bag out of the plastic ones my family has collected over the years. I watched a few tutorials about how to make even strips of plastic yarn. Are there any suggestions for what to do with the parts of the bag that I cant make into yarn, like the seem at the bottom and the handles? After making yarn out of about 12 plastic bags, I have a ton of leftover plastic bits that I don’t want to just throw away. Any suggestions welcome!
