Question!

So I’m making a laptop sleeve for a 13” laptop. I’m using allaboutami’s star stitch pouch pattern for it, I noticed that when I started the star stitches it became tighter. So I’m wondering if I should restart and add more to the chain or if blocking it would help it stretch out. (Stretched it’s about 13.5”)

Any suggestions welcome!

I'm onto the wings and the start of the wing portion is as follows

And I am extremely confused as how to start given there's no starting chain into a magic ring.

Help? I'd ask the seller, but I'd love to finish this tonight and it's currently like 3am where she lives.

Which yarn for giant project? Gauge vs yardage help please

Which yarn for giant project? Gauge vs yardage help please

Debating on yarn for giant project, think snorlax bed sized. I can't decide between

Weight 7; 54 yds/50 m

or
Weight 5; 306 yds/280m

Also not sure if it'd be better to single or double yarn etc for the best bang of the buck. Thoughts please?
